Vendor FAQs

Once you have been accepted as a vendor and have paid your table fee, we will send  you an email with all the information you need concerning promoting yourself and this event, table setup etc... But here are a few questions and answers to help you while you are preparing or contemplating becoming a vendor:

Q. Why do I need to apply to become a vendor?
A. Past vendors that we contact ourselves do not need to apply. The new vendor application process is simply to ensure that we don't have too many vendors in any one category.

Q. Can I ask to be in a specific spot in the hall?
A. Yes and no. We take into account special needs such as electrical outlets or a back wall to lean a display against. We also take into account requests for specific spots but cannot guarantee them. These requests will be taken on a first paid and registered basis but we reserve the right to make all final decisions on location. This is actually for your benefit - we want to make sure, for example, that two vendors of the same type are not right beside one another.

Q. Do you advertise this event?
A. Absolutely! We place beautiful, large, glossy posters and flyers in local businesses, put up lawn signs in Clarington and Bowmanville and have a direct mail campaign for the Hampton, Solina, Enniskillen area. HOWEVER - it is the responsibility of all vendors to take the flyers and posters that are available to them and put them up or distribute to friends and family. Years where vendors did this at a higher rate resulted in higher attendance.

Q. Something has come up and I need to cancel my table - can I get my money back?
A. If you cancel a month or more from the event, we will refund your table fee. Less than that time, we will refund your table fee only once we have contracted with another vendor to take it. If for some reason you cannot use your table at the very last minute, we recommend having a friend or family member take and sell your products for you or perhaps a crafty friend would like your table for their items.
